What We Love About Joshua Tree Pilates
What truly sets Joshua Tree Pilates apart is the depth and intentionality that Anastasia (they/she) brings to the studio. With over 15 years of experience as a movement educator, Anastasia approaches Pilates not as a rigid system, but as a living, responsive practice—one that honors how bodies actually move, adapt, and change over time.
Their work weaves together Pilates, somatic practices, functional movement, breathwork, and neurological repatterning, creating sessions that feel thoughtful, grounded, and quietly transformative. There’s a deep respect for movement lineage here—from classical Pilates and Feldenkrais-informed somatics to modern functional and rotational movement—without anything feeling dogmatic or prescriptive.
What we especially appreciate is how each session meets the individual where they are. Anastasia’s background in education shows in their ability to adapt instruction to different bodies and learning styles, making movement both accessible and engaging while still deeply effective.
Beyond technique, there’s a sense of presence and care that shapes the studio’s atmosphere. Anastasia’s broader work as a death midwife and educator subtly informs the space, bringing an emphasis on listening, awareness, and respect for each person’s unique journey. Strength and mobility are built from attention and embodiment rather than force.
Joshua Tree Pilates reflects the best of desert wellness—intelligent, embodied, deeply human, and rooted in the belief that sustainable movement begins from within.
